TrekDesk Treadmill Desk Survey Results

Wondering what impact a TrekDesk might have on your life? Why wonder when you can read what a couple hundred of TrekDesk Treadmill Desk users have to say about their experiences after months and/or years of using their TrekDesks.

Here is one of the survey questions we asked them:

Survey Question: Please tell us the results (good or bad) that you have experienced with your TrekDesk (e.g. Weight Loss, Energy Boost, Mood Enhancement, Disease Reversal):

The number one response was “energy boost”, which really made us proud. Weight loss was cited by many ranging from 10 lbs all the way to 70lbs with some TrekDesk users stating they did not lose any weight but found it perfect for weight maintenance. Rather than summarize any further read below the responses from actual TrekDesk users:

– I used it while I corrected papers and planned my lessons. So, instead of sitting at my desk I used my treadmill and walked about 1.2 miles per hour and walked long distances without realizing it. Walking always improves my mood and gives me more energy while I lose weight.

-Very positive results on weight management and energy enhancement.

-Energy boost, mood enhancement, overall just FEEL better!

-I’m starting out slow and have already seen weight loss and less fatigue at the end of the day … am hoping it will help my rheumatoid arthritis symptoms also

-Better blood chemistry, but no help with chronic fatigue and have lost no weight, despite walking about 1200 miles.

-Weight loss

-Love that I can work all day at my job with no down time – stay energized all day!

-Strengthened core and increased awareness. I do not have a treadmill and only stand while working.

-Feel much better being less sedentary. I have already worn out one treadmill for this desk and have replaced it to keep on moving. Better circulation as a result.

-Energy boost, mood boost; sadly no weight loss but I revel in the idea that I’m preventing gain!

-Cardiac rehab…a good thing!

-Energy

-Weight loss and weight maintenance.

-Energy boost and mood enhancement

-I have only had it for a week so no changes in body metrics as of yet but I do feel energized after walking all day and I just feel good that I am doing something active. After a few minutes I forget I am walking and I don’t notice any movement. Kind of strange how your body takes over and your mind continues to work.

-I dont walk the whole time – I mainly love my TrekDesk because I can opt to stand/sit/walk. I use a bar stool to sit on the treadmill at my desk. I love it because I’m not hunched over my old desk – which was horrible for my posture. Being able to stand and work at my desk makes me feel great – and I also love that I invested in myself – gave myself a gift when I bought my TrekDesk and treadmill. It’s awesome. Mainly – I do a Sprint 8 workout now when I use the treadmill – and that’s cool too – my desk isn’t really in the way – and allows me to watch videos while I do this intense workout.

-Results are amazing!! A few years ago, I pulled something in my back and in spite of regular visits to various chiropractors, I have suffered from persistent back pain ever since. When I relocated to the Cayman Islands in 2010 my new chiropractor told me the human body is not designed to sit for hours on end, and the constant seated posture had caused my spine to curve and the disks at the base of my spine to become misaligned. He suggested I could improve my condition with a very simple exercise …. walking!! No need to join a gym or start running, just take long walks on flat surfaces in good shoes as often as possible. Best advice ever! The problem was my finding the time to do this with my tough work schedule, so I bought the trekdesk and convinced my boss to let me work at least a couple of hours from home each morning (I do IT support so I can work from anywhere) After a few months, I felt 100 times better. Back pain was pretty much gone my energy levels were up and I had even lost a little weight (who couldn’t use to drop a few pounds?!) I feel better than I have in years.   So I owe a huge debt of gratitude to two people, my fantastic chiropractor who gave me the best advice ever and the inventor of the trekdesk! Best purchase I’ve ever made! Thank you for making such an innovative product. It truly changed my life!!

-Better time management. For instance…my treadmill stops after 30 minutes, and it’s helps me to keep track of how much time I’m spending at a task. Better mood.

-Not bad, but a reminder, even though I’m only walking a very slow pace, I have to remember to stretch afterwards or be really sore. 🙂 And I exercise daily too, so the soreness is not from lack of exercise.

-Energy increase and helping weigh my overall weight control.

-Energy boost, mood enhancement

-Better mood, more energy and more productive—I WANT to be at my desk!

-Just feel healthier.

-The energy boost has been so helpful. No more mid-day slumps, and I can tell such a difference in my legs and glutes. My moods are better, I feel less pressured to “wrap things up” and get to the gym. The only downside is tightness in my IT bands from overuse.

-I have maintained my desired weight, and find I work much more efficiently. I can also do routine e-mail on it.

-Big time mood enhancer, great for my posture and stretching. Luv it.
