A new study just released by the Centers for Disease Control show that that nearly 62% of Americans take regular walks, a significant increase from the 56%  levels reported in 2005. CDC director Dr. Thomas Frieden was encouraged by the increase in activity levels. The CDC estimates that at least 48% of all American adults are not getting enough exercise to maintain minimum levels of health.
