Treadmill Desks May Reduce Men's Cancer Risk

Walking has been shown to have significant preventative benefits against diseases, even cancer. Treadmill desks allow employees to walk as much as 8-10 hours in a single day.

Researchers suspect that the benefits of walking on the immune system, hormone levels, and weight moderation may prevent cancer triggers in our bodies.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine reported the results of 8,000 men (60 and over) over a 12 year period who walked as their main form of exercise.

The study found that those men who walked just 2 miles a day cut their risk of developing cancer by 50%. Consistency was the key. Those men who walked infrequently were 2.5 times more likely to die of cancer than the regular walking group.

Treadmill desks make walking automatic and consistent. Just attach a TrekDesk to your existing treadmill and decrease your potential risk of disease.
